AMWI Paratwada chapter
April-June 2024
AMWI Paratwada Chapter marked its inauguration on 2nd January 2024, followed by a series of community-focused initiatives: during Gudi Padwa Utsav, health education was given on cervical and breast cancer symptoms, prevention, and HPV vaccination; on Safe Motherhood Day, ANC examinations and awareness were conducted at PHC Dhamangaon Gadi; a diagnostic health checkup camp at Kavitha village benefited 450 people with blood investigations and free medicine distribution; a menstrual hygiene awareness session and anti-tobacco campaign in Palashkhedi (Bahiram Road) reached 100 girls; International Menstrual Hygiene Day was observed at Women’s Hospital, Achalpur with education on menstrual health and available devices; International Nurses’ Day celebrated the felicitation of nursing staff; a blood donation camp on Mahesh Navami collected 40 units; a health checkup and medicine distribution drive in a slum area benefited 25 women; and AMWI also participated in the 1800 Days Tree Plantation initiative in Latur.

Dr. Mary D. Cruz attended the CRC Conference and delivered a talk, while the AMWI Paratwada Chapter actively conducted several impactful initiatives including a Health Awareness Program, Project Durga Shakti Self-Defence Coaching, a Dental Check-Up Camp, and a Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Camp. Additionally, a new milestone was marked with the inauguration of the UDGIR AMWI Chapter.

On occasion of *Children day 14 November* information about New born baby care, importance of breastfeeding ,proper technique of breastfeeding, immunization ,PNC care contraception , diet, hygiene , advantages and disadvantages of diaper given by Dr Subhash Rawat sir, Dr Mrs Mangal Rathi, Councellor Mrs Sharada Tai ,Mrs Payal Chauradiya at Women and Child hospital Achalpur with distribution of Huggies and Johnson baby kit to each and every newborn baby.
Program was held under guidance of MS Dr Vijay Sir and Metron Mrs Dalal madam and cooperation of all staff.
